Mill Pond Park
Mill Pond Park is a 15-acre riverfront site on the Harlem River, formerly occupied by the Bronx Terminal Market. This waterfront park is one of several replacement parks and recreational facilities within the Yankee Stadium Redevelopment Program.
Among the park’s renovated amenities are the tennis courts, the Power House, ‘El Batey’, and the beach and dining areas. ©Josh Simpson
The design for the new park provides for numerous active and passive activities in formal and informal settings. A sinuous red ribbon creates a walking path to connect these activities and provides access to the river via ferries,
the city bicycle network, pedestrian walkways, and kayaks. ©Josh Simpson
