Lukas Andre
Director, ASLA
Lukas Andre is a registered landscape architect and environmental scientist, with over 20 years of experience in environment, development, planning, and design. His professional practice, research, writing, and teaching focus on the intersection of ecology and design, including green infrastructure, landscape resilience, and sustainable urban design. Throughout his wide-ranging career, he has held leadership positions in corporate, governmental, and non-profit organizations like the Environmental Business Unit of CSA Architects & Engineers, and in the Government of Puerto Rico as Deputy Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, overseeing its Planning and Development Division. As Director at Kent Anders Architects Lukas Andre participates in the early planning and design stages of a wide variety of projects including Building 77 in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, La Parguera Green Infrastructure Master Plan in Lajas, PR, and leading efforts for a more resilient Puerto Rico with Resilient Power Puerto Rico. Lukas Andre received his bachelor’s degree from Mount Saint Mary’s College (Maryland), and a master’s degree in Ecology, from The University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, a master’s degree in Environmental Studies from Yale University, and a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Harvard University. He is a founding faculty member of the Master in Landscape Architecture degree program at Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, in San Juan.
