The NYU Sociology department takes up nearly 20,000 SF of the entire 5th floor of New York University’s historic Puck Building.
Design strategies included integrating historic architectural elements such as vaulted ceilings, cast iron columns, and brick walls, into modern, fully equipped workspaces.
Faculty offices and student seminar rooms were connected by generous, occupiable corridors and communal areas were designed to stimulate academic and social interaction.
